URBAN WORKSHOP

Grades 6-12


Students will love this unique summer program where they can use critical thinking and imagination for hands on vocational experience.

Urban Workshop challenges students to use traditional and modern tools to work through projects and use their critical thinking skills.

Who Can Enroll?

Students in grades 6-12 who enroll in two (2) Elite summer session academic courses (virtual or homeschool)

*Urban Workshop weekly courses are $800.00. Students who attend the Urban Workshop can receive a total of $500.00 towards the cost of camp. Families will be reimbursed once the student completes two Elite summer session courses with passing grades.

How it works

Participants enroll in one or more Urban Workshop weekly sessions along with Elite’s Virtual or Homeschool program where they will complete two (2) academic courses (English, Math, Drama and more!) during a 6-week summer learning program.

  • Courses are 100% virtual
  • Students will have the support of an Elite Virtual or Homeschool Educator to ensure that they are able to complete the required courses

Credits

Students who successfully complete the Elite summer session courses will earn academic and/or elective credits that can be transferred back to their original public school. Students are welcome to continue attending Elite Academic Academy for the 2018-19 school year, however please ensure that by enrolling in Elite summer sessions you do not lose your current enrollment spot at your current school if you plan to return there in the fall. 

How student families receive educational funds

Educational funds are public funds available for charter school students to use for purchase of educational resources, supplies, curriculum or extra-curricular enrichment classes.

Reimbursement for paid fees

Families can be reimbursed a total of $500 for already-paid Urban Workshop fees as long as their student enrolls in and successfully completes two (2) Elite Academic summer session courses.

Program requirements

Students are required to register as a student at Elite Academic Virtual Academy and must successfully complete two summer session courses* of their choice. Students will be able to use their Educational Funds to enjoy the Urban Workshop summer camp.

*Students who do not complete all of the academic credits with Elite Academic will not be eligible for free camp tuition.

How do I enroll?

Students who wish to enroll in the partnership program will need to enroll with Elite Academic Academy for summer session and then sign up with Urban Workshop.
