Website Notification: Synthetic Drug Awareness (AB 2690)

Synthetic Drug Awareness for Parents and Guardians

In compliance with California Assembly Bill 2690, Elite Academic Academy is committed to ensuring families are informed about the dangers of synthetic drugs. Parents and guardians are urged to be aware of the following:

  1. Synthetic drug dangers: Synthetic drugs like fentanyl, when not prescribed by a physician, can be highly dangerous and even lethal.

  2. Counterfeit pills: Dangerous synthetic drugs are often found in counterfeit pills that are visually identical to legitimate medications.

  3. Social media risks: Social media platforms may be used to market and sell synthetic drugs, increasing their accessibility to young people.

To protect your child:

  • Educate them about the dangers of synthetic drugs.

  • Monitor their use of social media platforms.

  • Discuss the risks of counterfeit pills and substances.
