Common FAQs

Elite Academic Academy serves grades TK-12, ages 5–18.

No. Elite Academic Academy is a public school and free to families.

Students must turn 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2024.

For the 2024/25 school year, students are eligible for TK if they turn 5 between September 2 and June 2, 2024.

Must children attend Transitional Kindergarten?

No, children are not required to attend TK.

Can students who are age-eligible for kindergarten attend transitional kindergarten (TK)?

Children who are age-eligible to attend kindergarten, but choose to enroll in TK will need a signed Kindergarten Continuance Form verifying that the parent/guardian agrees to have his/her child continue in kindergarten for one additional year.

To enroll in Kindergarten, students must turn 5 on or before September 1st. If a student turns 5 after September 1st, entering kindergarten is not an option, they must enroll in TK.

Once all required documents are received and processed you will receive an email confirmation from our Admissions Department regarding further information. Families must meet with their assigned Elite Educator to sign additional documents before starting school.

Students will be enrolled in the grade level based on their date of birth as determined by the CDE. If a student repeated a grade level previously, documentation must be provided by the previous school. Retention is something that must be discussed with the academic team AFTER enrollment has been completed. Please see the parent student handbook for more information.

Should the decision regarding promotion/retention/acceleration of a student be in question, the final decision of placement will be made upon completion of an SST and review of documentation and recommendation of the student’s teacher(s) and in consultation with parents. Currently enrolled students in grades 7-8 can only be retained for primarily academic purposes as deemed throughout the SST process.

During the first meeting, the student, parent/guardian, and Elite Educator will discuss and design an individual learning plan which will be utilized to lead the student towards their academic goals. You will also receive your first assignments to get started on your education with Elite!
